planned to build a Spirit film around). Columnist Dave Schreiner
describes our hero's "sodden surroundings" the day
after Christmas thusly: "dark sewers...dripping with cold
snow melt; it's a pneumonic, tubercular, scurvy-ripe environment..
a quite real feeling of claustrophobia." This cover to The
Spirit #28 is also the largest of all the available comic
book covers, measuring 11" wide x 16.5" high. Signed
